Catenaa, Saturday, September 12, 2026- Online broker TradeQuo has expanded gold trading into Saturdays and Sundays through GOLD247, a standalone contract-for-difference instrument available on MetaTrader 5.

The product began operating July 11, according to TradeQuo’s website. The company issued a new announcement about the service Monday.

GOLD247 does not extend the operating hours of conventional spot gold or futures markets. Those markets generally close for most of the weekend.

Instead, TradeQuo prices GOLD247 through a separate, continuously operating feed. Its price may differ from standard XAUUSD quotations because weekend liquidity and market conditions can vary.

Eligible clients can open and close GOLD247 positions during weekends. The instrument switches to close-only mode when the regular trading week begins.

That arrangement allows traders to exit existing positions during weekdays but prevents them from opening new GOLD247 positions. TradeQuo’s standard XAUUSD products continue under their normal schedules.

GOLD247 supports positions starting at 0.01 lots and offers leverage of up to 1:50, according to TradeQuo. Availability and trading conditions depend on the client’s account and jurisdiction.

Contracts for difference allow traders to speculate on price movements without owning physical gold. Leverage can increase returns but can also accelerate losses when prices move against a position.

TradeQuo introduced the product as gold trading activity remained elevated. World Gold Council data showed global gold-market liquidity averaged a record $488 billion daily during the first half of 2026.

Weekend prices may react to geopolitical events, currency movements or changing interest-rate expectations before conventional markets reopen.

However, thinner weekend liquidity may produce wider spreads, sharper movements and pricing differences. Traders also face counterparty exposure because GOLD247 is issued and priced by the broker.
