Affiliate Disclosure

The Short Version

Some links on Catenaa may earn us a small commission if you click them and sign up for or purchase a product or service. This never affects what we write, what we recommend or how we cover any company. We only disclose affiliates, we do not let them drive our journalism.

An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL. When you click one and complete an action, such as signing up for an exchange, opening an account, or making a purchase, the company behind that link may pay Catenaa a referral fee or commission.
The price you pay is never affected by whether you use an affiliate link. You pay the same amount regardless.

Affiliate links may appear in:

  • Articles reviewing or comparing exchanges, wallets, trading platforms or fintech products
  • Explainer content that references specific tools or services
  • Resource guides and curated product lists
  • Dedicated comparison or “best of” content

When affiliate links are present in an article, you will see a clear disclosure at the top of that piece. It will read something like:
“This article contains affiliate links. If you sign up or make a purchase through these links, Catenaa may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.”

How Affiliate Relationships Work at Catenaa

We do not write about products simply because they have an affiliate programme. Editorial decisions about what to cover are made by our journalists and editors based on relevance and reader interest, not on whether a commercial relationship exists.

Affiliate fees do not influence our conclusions. If a product or platform has significant flaws, risks or limitations, we report them, regardless of whether that company is an affiliate partner. Our obligation is to you, the reader, not to the companies we link to.

Our journalists are not paid based on affiliate performance. Writers and editors at Catenaa are not incentivised through commissions tied to clicks or conversions. Editorial compensation is entirely separate from commercial outcomes.

We apply the same editorial standards to affiliate content as to all other content. Affiliate-linked articles are subject to the same fact-checking, editorial review and accuracy standards as every other article on Catenaa. A commercial relationship does not lower the bar.

Cryptocurrency and Financial Products: An Important Note

  • The inclusion of an affiliate link to any platform or product is not a guarantee of that platform’s safety, regulation or suitability for your circumstances
  • Catenaa does not verify the financial standing, regulatory compliance or security of every affiliate partner in real time, you should conduct your own due diligence before signing up for or depositing funds into any platform
  • Nothing in any Catenaa article containing affiliate links constitutes personal financial or investment advice
  • Cryptocurrency investments carry significant risk, including the potential loss of your entire investment

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not accept affiliate arrangements that require us to write positively about a product or omit negative information
  • We do not publish affiliate-linked content for platforms or products we have reason to believe are fraudulent, unregulated in a harmful way or dangerous to readers
  • We do not disguise affiliate links as independent editorial recommendations without disclosure
  • We do not allow affiliate revenue to influence story selection, editorial framing or coverage decisions

Affiliate relationships change over time. A link that carried a commission when an article was first published may no longer be active and new affiliate links may be added to existing articles when relevant. We aim to keep disclosures accurate and up to date. If you believe a disclosure is missing or incorrect, please let us know.

Your Choices

You are never required to use an affiliate link on Catenaa. If you prefer not to, you can search for the product or service directly. The information in our articles is available to you regardless of how you choose to access the products we mention.
