About Catenaa
Catenaa is an independent financial intelligence platform covering crypto, blockchain, stock markets and fintech. Our readers are institutional investors, analysts and professionals, not retail speculators. We are hype-averse, data-first and primary-source-driven.
The Role
We’re looking for an analyst who can produce rigorous, data-referenced analysis across three areas: crypto and digital assets, traditional markets and macro and on-chain data. You will write for a sophisticated audience that expects sourced claims, structured reasoning and zero hype.
This is not a news reporter role. You are not chasing headlines; you are explaining what the data means.
What You’ll Produce
- Deep-dive asset analysis pieces (crypto and equities)
- Macro market briefings connecting Fed policy, rates and crypto flows
- On-chain data breakdowns using tools such as Glassnode, Dune Analytics, Nansen or DeFiLlama
- VC and institutional funding roundups with analytical commentary
- Regulatory impact analysis
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience analyzing financial markets crypto, equities or both
- Ability to read and interpret on-chain data; familiarity with at least one on-chain analytics platform
- Strong written English: concise, precise, no filler
- Primary-source discipline: you cite filings, on-chain data, official statements, not secondary aggregators
- Bonus: familiarity with regulatory environments or ability to source from primary documents
What We’re Not Looking For
- Price prediction writers
- Aggregators who rewrite other outlets
- Generalist content writers without market knowledge
Preferred (not required)
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative field
- CFA (any level) or progress toward it, strong signal for equities/macro candidates
- CPA or accounting background, useful for earnings and corporate analysis
Accepted in lieu of formal qualifications
- A verifiable track record of published analysis (Substack, research firms, trading desks, previous media roles)
- Demonstrable on-chain analytics capability: a Dune dashboard, a Glassnode report, public research
- Prior role at a crypto fund, trading desk, research firm or financial media outlet
