Catenaa Artificial Intelligence Policy

Effective date: 11 January 2026
Last updated: 18 April 2026

Why We’re Publishing This

You deserve to know how the content you read on Catenaa is made. Artificial intelligence tools are changing how media organisations work, and we believe transparency about how we use them and how we don’t is part of our commitment to you as a reader.
This page explains what AI does at Catenaa, what it never does, and how you can tell when it has been involved in something you’re reading.

Our Commitment to You

Catenaa covers cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial markets, and fintech. This is information that can affect real financial decisions. We take that seriously.
AI at Catenaa is a tool used by our journalists and editors, it is not an author and it does not make editorial decisions. Every article published on Catenaa has been reviewed and approved by a named human journalist or editor who takes full responsibility for what is published. That does not change regardless of what tools were used along the way.

Where We Use AI

Research and data processing. Our journalists use AI tools to help sift through large volumes of information, regulatory filings, on-chain data, earnings reports, court documents, and market data. This helps them work faster. Any fact that ends up in a published article is verified by a human journalist against a primary source before publication.
Drafting assistance. In some cases, AI tools may help produce an early draft of an article, particularly for explanatory content or data-heavy summaries. When this happens, the draft is treated like a first draft from a junior writer: it is carefully edited, fact-checked, and rewritten by a journalist and editor before it is published. AI-generated text is never published without substantial human review.
Headlines and descriptions. AI may suggest headlines, subheadings, or article descriptions. These are always reviewed and approved by an editor. You will not see an AI-written headline that a human has not checked and signed off on.
Images. Catenaa may use AI-generated images where the tool has been trained on licensed or public domain material. When an image in an article has been AI-generated, it will be clearly labelled.
Social media. AI tools may assist in drafting short social media posts that summarise our articles. These are always reviewed by the person publishing the post before they go live.

Where We Do Not Use AI

We do not publish AI-generated financial analysis or forecasts. Catenaa does not use AI to generate price predictions, investment recommendations, or market outlooks and present them as our own analysis. Our financial coverage is produced by human journalists and analysts.
We do not publish AI-generated content without human review. No article, analysis, opinion piece, or news report goes live on Catenaa without a qualified human editor reading and approving it. There is no automated publishing pipeline at Catenaa.
We do not use AI to fabricate sources, quotes, or data. Everything cited in a Catenaa article must be traceable to a real, verifiable source. AI is never used to invent or simulate source material.
We do not use AI to disguise sponsored content as independent journalism. Sponsored and partner content is clearly labelled on Catenaa regardless of how it was produced.

How to Spot AI Involvement in Our Content

When AI has contributed materially to the drafting of a published article, you will see a disclosure note at the bottom of the piece. It will read:
“This article was produced with AI-assisted tools. All content has been reviewed, verified, and approved by a Catenaa editor.”
AI-generated images are labelled within the article. If you do not see a disclosure, the content was produced through our standard human-led editorial process.

A Note on Financial Information

Catenaa publishes content about investments, markets and financial assets. Nothing published on Catenaa, whether produced by a human journalist or with AI assistance, constitutes personal financial advice. You should always conduct your own research and seek advice from a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

Our Standards Don’t Change Based on the Tools We Use

If we make a mistake in a published article, whether that mistake originated from an AI tool or from human error, we correct it promptly and transparently, with a timestamped editor’s note within the article. The journalist and editor named on that article are responsible for it. We do not blame errors on AI.

If you spot an error or have a concern about any content on Catenaa, contact us at editorial@catenaa.com.

This Policy Will Evolve

AI is developing quickly. Our approach to using it will develop too. We will update this policy as our practices change and publish the updated version here with a revised date. If you have questions about how we use AI, we are happy to hear from you.
