Tether Targets USAT Adoption via Rumble Crypto Wallet Launch

Catenaa, Monday, October 06, 2025- Tether plans to leverage Rumble’s 51 million monthly active users in the US to drive adoption of its newly launched stablecoin, USAT, through a forthcoming crypto wallet. The announcement came from Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino during Token2049 in Singapore.

Ardoino said Rumble intends to roll out a wallet powered by Tether technology later this year, aiming to integrate USAT usage among the platform’s predominantly US-based user base.

The initiative follows Tether’s $775 million investment in Rumble last year, giving the stablecoin issuer a roughly 48% stake in the video streaming platform.

USAT, a dollar-backed stablecoin designed specifically for U.S. users, builds on the global footprint of USDT, which remains the world’s largest stablecoin with $174.6 billion in supply.

Ardoino stressed that the move seeks to demonstrate the viability of stablecoins within the US, considered the most advanced nation for financial infrastructure.

Beyond crypto, Tether is expanding into telecommunications and energy infrastructure sectors.

Ardoino highlighted plans to deploy up to 150,000 kiosks in Africa by 2030 to strengthen USDT and dollar usage in emerging markets.

Bloomberg recently reported that Tether is exploring a $20 billion funding round at a $500 billion valuation to support expansion.

The company’s strategic push combines regulatory-aligned stablecoin innovation with social media and infrastructure integration, aiming to enhance mainstream adoption in both developed and emerging markets.
