Catenaa, Thursday, September 10, 2026- Ripple has signed a multi-year partnership with Florida Athletics that will place XRP branding across the university’s sports program beginning with the 2026 football season.

Florida Athletics announced the agreement Friday, saying the XRP logo will appear prominently on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

XRP branding will also appear across Florida Athletics’ digital properties and event signage.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The partnership extends beyond advertising.

Florida Athletics said Ripple will support financial and technology education for student-athletes and the wider university community.

The program will cover traditional finance as well as digital assets.

Florida Athletics Director Scott Stricklin said the agreement fits the university’s interest in technology and will introduce XRP to the Gators’ large fan base.

The deal gives Ripple exposure within the Southeastern Conference, one of the most prominent leagues in US college sports.

Florida Athletics supports 21 teams and more than 500 student-athletes.

The university has won 49 national championships across 16 sports, according to Florida Athletics.

Its football program has won national championships in 1996, 2006 and 2008 and regularly attracts large audiences at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The Florida agreement follows Ripple’s expansion into college sports earlier this year.

Ripple announced a sponsorship agreement with the Kansas Jayhawks in July that will place an XRP patch on team jerseys.

The Kansas agreement marked the first announced appearance of cryptocurrency branding on jerseys of a major US collegiate sports program.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is a University of Kansas alumnus.

The Florida deal takes a different approach by placing XRP directly on the football field and across broader athletics properties.

Ripple was founded in 2012 and develops blockchain-based financial services spanning payments, custody, prime brokerage and treasury management.

XRP is the native cryptocurrency of the XRP Ledger, an open-source blockchain designed for fast, low-cost transfers.

Ripple also uses XRP alongside its RLUSD stablecoin across parts of its financial services business.

The Florida partnership shows Ripple extending XRP promotion beyond financial markets into mainstream US sports. College athletics gives crypto companies access to large fan communities and nationally televised events.

By pairing branding with financial education, Ripple is also positioning the sponsorship as more than conventional sports advertising.

Its agreements with Florida and Kansas indicate college sports is becoming a recurring part of Ripple’s US marketing strategy.
