Catenaa, Monday, August 31, 2026- Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has launched two limited promotions tied to bitcoin’s recent rally, offering an enhanced return on a fixed-term BTC product and up to $200,000 in USDT trading rewards.

The Dubai-based exchange said its “Bull Incoming” campaign will run through Aug. 28 and applies to a fixed-term BTC Earn product. The company also opened new spot and derivatives trading leaderboards with a combined prize pool of up to $200,000 USDT.

Bybit said its fixed-term BTC Earn promotion offers an annual percentage rate of up to 10%, subject to campaign terms and availability. The combined subscription pool is capped at 243.33 BTC.

Individual users can subscribe from 0.001 BTC to a maximum of 1 BTC, according to the company. Participation is available on a first-come, first-served basis until the pool is filled or the campaign ends.

The product is designed for holders who want to earn a return on bitcoin without selling their holdings. As with other yield products, the advertised annual percentage rate should not be interpreted as a guaranteed return outside the applicable campaign conditions.

Bybit launched the promotion as bitcoin remained above $78,000 following a gain of more than 20% over the previous week. The cryptocurrency had earlier climbed above $80,000 during one of its strongest advances of 2026.

The exchange is also offering rewards to users trading eligible spot and derivatives pairs. Registered participants compete through separate leaderboards based largely on trading volume.

Bybit said the prize pool can reach $200,000 USDT, while eligible customers completing specified daily or recurring tasks can enter additional drawings. Individual lucky-draw rewards can reach 100 USDT, according to the announcement.

The company did not disclose how many users it expects to participate or how much additional trading volume the campaign could generate. Reward distribution remains subject to eligibility rules and other campaign conditions.

The promotions arrive as cryptocurrency exchanges compete aggressively for renewed trading activity following months of subdued volumes.

Global centralized exchange activity doubled within five days last week as bitcoin, ether and major altcoins rallied from yearly lows. Even after that increase, spot exchange volume remained well below the highs recorded during the previous 12 months.

Exchange operators have an incentive to capture traders returning during periods of strong market momentum. Earn products can encourage customers to keep assets on a platform, while trading competitions can increase transaction volume.

The strategy is not unique to Bybit. Crypto exchanges regularly use temporary yield promotions, fee discounts and trading rewards during periods of heightened market activity.

Bybit described its campaign as being aimed at traders positioning for a possible new bull market. That characterization reflects the company’s marketing language rather than an established market outcome.

Bitcoin’s recent advance has improved sentiment substantially, supported by strong U.S. spot exchange-traded fund inflows and increased trading activity. However, a sharp short-term rally does not guarantee that a sustained bull market has begun.

Bitcoin remains highly volatile, and market conditions can reverse quickly. Yield products and trading competitions can also encourage users to take additional risk during periods when prices are moving rapidly.

Bybit has expanded beyond spot cryptocurrency trading into derivatives, staking, payments and wealth products. The latest campaign combines two parts of that strategy by targeting both long-term holders and active traders.

For bitcoin holders, the Earn promotion offers a way to generate additional yield while retaining exposure to the asset. For active traders, the leaderboard structure offers rewards tied to participation and volume.

Bybit says it serves more than 80 million users globally, though that figure was supplied by the company and was not independently verified in the Chainwire release.

The announcement also described Bybit as the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume. That ranking can vary depending on the data provider, time period and whether spot or derivatives trading is measured.

The timing of the promotions reflects how quickly exchanges respond when market conditions improve.

During weak markets, exchanges typically experience lower volume and reduced fee revenue. A sharp rally can reverse that pattern as both retail and professional traders return.

Bitcoin’s recent rebound therefore creates an opportunity for exchanges not only to capture trading fees, but also to attract deposits and increase use of yield products.

Bybit’s campaign is designed to capitalize on that shift while enthusiasm remains high.

Whether the promotions result in lasting activity will depend less on the campaign itself than on whether bitcoin’s rally continues after the initial surge.
