Catenaa, Saturday, January 03, 2026- Bitmine Immersion Technologies added 44,463 ether over the past week, bringing its total holdings to roughly 3.41% of Ethereum’s circulating supply, the company said Monday.

The move follows Bitmine surpassing 4 million ETH in total holdings last week as part of an aggressive strategy targeting 5% of the network’s total supply.

The firm’s treasury, valued at just over $12 billion, includes 4,110,525 ETH, 192 bitcoin, and $1 billion in cash as of Dec. 28. Total crypto and cash holdings reach $13.2 billion.

Chairman Tom Lee said Bitmine leveraged year-end market softness to accumulate ETH, emerging as the largest fresh-money buyer amid tax-loss–related selling.

The firm has also begun staking a portion of its ether, with more than 408,000 ETH now staked in preparation for the launch of its Made in America Validator Network in early 2026.

BMNR shares recently traded around $28.50, down nearly 13% over the past week, while ether changed hands near $2,950. Bitmine’s strategy highlights continued institutional accumulation of Ethereum, signaling confidence in the network despite recent market volatility.

Analysts note that staking and large-scale accumulation could increase network participation while demonstrating the growing role of corporate treasuries in crypto markets.

The company’s ongoing purchases and staking activity underscore its long-term commitment to Ethereum and its broader ambitions to influence network dynamics as it approaches the 5% supply target.
