Catenaa, Thursday, September 17, 2026- Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang expects to sell twice as many chips in the coming year, fueled by the spread of AI across different industries.

AI is of great benefit to a variety of sectors, Huang told reporters on the sidelines of an event convened by King Charles III in Scotland on Thursday.

Nvidia is the top seller of AI accelerators, chips used to develop and run artificial intelligence models.

Huang is maintaining his bullish stance at a time when concerns are growing about AI. Industry leaders have discussed slowing down development of the technology over fears that it might be potentially dangerous.

Huang said that companies need to take responsibility and make sure their AI software and services are safe before releasing them.

Last month, Nvidia projected sales growth of 70% in its next fiscal year. It said at the time that revenue could double if the company had enough supply to meet surging demand.

Nvidia shares rose as much as 2.8% in New York on Thursday, helping reverse losses from a slide last week. The stock is up about 17% this year.

Meanwhile, the chipmaker disclosed that it has committed $2 billion to Brookfield Asset Management’s global AI infrastructure fund.

The AI giant is an anchor investor for the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund, along with the Kuwait Investment Authority, Brookfield said last year.

The fund is focusing on investing in the AI buildout, backing factories, dedicated behind-the-meter power solutions and compute infrastructure.

The New York-based firm has emerged as a key player in providing private capital for the AI buildout.

It’s raising $10 billion for the AI infrastructure fund, as part of a broader plan to raise around $50 billion for the infrastructure group over the next two years, with AI featuring in every strategy, Bloomberg previously reported.

Brookfield is also part of an Nvidia consortium that’s committing to financing AI computing deals totaling more than $500 billion.
