Catenaa, Wednesday, October 07, 2026- AMD CEO Lisa Su said that she is seeing “strong demand signals” across the chipmaker’s product portfolio as data center demand remains very strong.
During a Seoul visit, Su discussed AMD’s relationships with South Korea’s leading memory-chip manufacturers, Reuters reported.
In March, AMD and Samsung Electronics signed a MoU to expand their strategic partnership on memory chip supplies for AI infrastructure.
AMD stock has more record highs ahead, in part because of demand for the new Meta AI agent known as Muse, Yahoo Finance said, citing Citi.
Citi analyst Atif Malik raised his price target for AMD to $800 from $575, citing expectations for stronger CPU demand following Meta’s launch of its Muse AI agent, according to Yahoo Finance.”
“Following the release of Meta Muse and our subsequent CPU TAM raise, we are raising estimates on AMD given our belief that AMD will be the primary beneficiary of the CPU
renaissance and our belief that Meta is one of the largest customers of AMD’s server business,” Malik told Yahoo Finance.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that AMD is working with its customers to optimise their memory footprint so that it can satisfy more computing going forward.
Su said she encourages memory suppliers to build faster, as fast as possible.
“I think we very much rely on the Korean supply chain,” Su said according to Reuters, adding that Samsung and SK Hynix are “key for us to accomplish our broad ambition in data centres.”
The companies said at the time they would also discuss opportunities for a foundry partnership, under which Samsung could provide contract chip manufacturing services for next-generation AMD products.
Further, Yahoo Finance said that Malik struck a bullish tone on the future size of the CPU market.
“We believe the CPU TAM [total addressable market] expands from $29 billion in 2025 to $300 billion in 2030, or a 60% CAGR. We still expect AMD to be the key beneficiary of the CPU renaissance and Intel to be a secondary beneficiary.” Malik told Yahoo Finance.
