Catenaa, Saturday, February 21, 2026- human.tech has announced the launch of Wallet-as-a-Protocol (WaaP) on the Sui blockchain, delivering the first fully decentralized embedded wallet layer.
WaaP allows developers to integrate self-custodial wallets into applications without seed phrases, backend lock-in, or third-party access to funds, using social logins like email, phone, Google, or Face ID.
Unlike traditional Wallet-as-a-Service solutions, WaaP runs as a decentralized protocol on Ika, a censorship-resistant coordination layer on Sui. Signing authority is split between the user and the infrastructure, ensuring neither party can move funds alone. Policy controls including spend limits, contract allowlists, and approval thresholds are enforced cryptographically on-chain, eliminating backend dependence.
The protocol aims to improve onboarding for mainstream crypto users while maintaining strong security guarantees. human.tech’s existing ecosystem serves nearly 3 million verified users with over $500 million in protected value.
The Sui integration brings this infrastructure to a top 15 blockchain by total value locked and top 8 by DEX volume, opening new possibilities for programmable accounts, delegated execution, and AI-agent workflows.
WaaP offers developers embeddable wallets with no custody liability and a seamless user experience, while users retain full ownership of their assets.
The launch sets the stage for next-generation wallet functionality, combining convenience, security, and decentralization for Sui’s growing ecosystem. Documentation and integration guides are available at
