Standard Chartered cuts 2025 Bitcoin outlook to 100,000 dollars

Catenaa, Tuesday, December 09, 2025- Standard Chartered lowered its Bitcoin forecast on Tuesday, projecting the token will reach one hundred thousand dollars by late 2025 as slowing demand reshapes market expectations.

The bank had previously estimated a two hundred thousand dollar target. Its long-range view of five hundred thousand dollars remains in place but has been shifted to 2030.

Bitcoin traded near ninety thousand six hundred dollars after a weak fourth quarter stalled earlier gains.

The bank’s revision follows reduced interest from major buyers that once fueled rally cycles. Analysts said corporate purchases by large digital asset treasuries have faded.

They said demand is now tied mainly to inflows into United States spot Bitcoin exchange traded funds. Those inflows have fallen to levels last seen at the launch of the products. Current quarterly flows stand near fifty thousand Bitcoin, far below the levels recorded in late 2024.

Institutional activity has eased as investors wait for signals from the Federal Reserve. Market watchers expect a small rate cut in the upcoming decision.

They said the path for next year depends on guidance from the Fed chair. Political pressure has added uncertainty, though some analysts said policy may tilt toward looser conditions. That could shift attention back to assets used by some investors as a hedge.

Prediction platforms show low expectations for a return to a prolonged downturn. Traders there assign a small chance of a broad market slide by early 2026. Analysts said short term movements will likely hinge on the outcome of Wednesday’s Federal Open Market Committee meeting.
