Catenaa, Monday, November 03, 2025-Sam Altman-backed World is partnering with web3 gaming studio Mythical Games to bring its “proof of human” ID technology to popular titles, including FIFA, NFL, and Pudgy Penguins-themed games.
The integration aims to separate human gamers from bots, ensuring fair play and protecting in-game economies.
Mythical will connect its existing users to the World network, requiring players to verify their humanity through World IDs, which involve an in-person eyeball scan.
Verified users earn World’s native WLD tokens. The technology is intended to curb bot-driven manipulation of games, which a World study found negatively impacts nearly 75% of gamers.
World has already enrolled more than 17 million users, and the partnership with Mythical expands its footprint in mainstream web3 gaming.
Mythical’s titles allow players to fully own and trade game assets, and the companies said proof of human verification will help maintain transparent and balanced digital economies.
Additionally, Mythical will launch its MYTHOS chain on the World network, marking the first Layer 3 blockchain built atop World Chain. The integration represents a growing effort among web3 projects to enhance security, fairness, and accountability in gaming environments.
The collaboration between World and Mythical Games highlights the increasing adoption of blockchain-based identity solutions in the gaming sector, aiming to deliver a more equitable experience while connecting millions of human players to decentralized ecosystems.
