Mo Shaikh Launches $50 Million Crypto Venture Fund

Catenaa, Wednesday, October 22, 2025- Former Aptos Labs CEO Mo Shaikh and early Aptos executives have launched Maximum Frequency Ventures with a $50 million fund to invest in crypto projects, focusing on Asia.

The fund will target web3 infrastructure, consumer crypto, and AI-native networks. Shaikh and former Aptos executives, including Neil Harounian, Alexandre Tang, and Jerome Ong, will direct the venture.

Maximum Frequency aims to support founders from inception through scale with hands-on involvement, 12-week sprints, and a founder residency program.

Limited partners include family offices across the US, East Asia, and Southeast Asia.

According to Shaikh, the fund has already deployed $5 million across six startups. The initiative is designed to combine venture discipline with accelerator speed and studio-style support, offering operator-led guidance rather than passive investment.

Shaikh said the goal is to prove operator-led capital outperforms passive approaches, helping founders build long-lasting companies.

MFV’s structure draws inspiration from early-stage funds like Founders Fund’s first $50 million vehicle, which backed Facebook, SpaceX, and Palantir.
