Catenaa, Wednesday, April 29, 2026-Microsoft’s venture arm has supported the public rollout of an artificial intelligence-powered app builder designed to simplify development on blockchain networks, marking a push to lower barriers in Web3 creation.
The platform, called Dreamspace, enables users to build applications on Base by describing what they want, with the system generating a functional app that includes smart contract logic. The approach removes the need for coding skills, targeting broader participation in blockchain development.
The infrastructure behind Dreamspace is supported by Space and Time, a data-focused blockchain backed by Microsoft’s venture unit. The network secures and verifies data through zero-knowledge proofs, ensuring accuracy across decentralized systems.
Microsoft previously led a $20 million investment in Space and Time, reflecting ongoing interest in integrating verifiable data with emerging Web3 applications. The data layer is designed to handle backend complexity, allowing developers to focus on application design and functionality.
Dreamspace enters a competitive field of AI-driven blockchain tools. Coinbase has supported similar efforts, including agent-based development frameworks that allow artificial intelligence systems to interact directly with blockchain networks. Wallet providers such as Trust Wallet are also introducing AI-driven features.
The platform, which launched in beta last year, has already been used to create more than 34,000 applications, including projects developed by students in emerging markets.
The rollout reflects a broader trend where artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies are converging, as companies seek to simplify development while expanding access to decentralized systems.
