Catenaa, Wednesday, December 03, 2025-Crypto platform KuCoin has opened a Sydney headquarters and appointed James Pinch as Australian Managing Director to lead regional operations.
The expansion comes as the platform strengthens its local presence, compliance, and institutional-grade security for Australian users.
The new office in Sydney’s central business district will house teams across compliance, operations, cybersecurity, and product development.
KuCoin plans to create multiple skilled roles over the next year to support the country’s growing digital asset market, projected to reach $1.2 billion by 2026.
James Pinch brings extensive experience in Australia’s financial services sector, including fintech, mergers, and acquisitions, along with a history of building transparent, efficient businesses. His appointment reflects KuCoin’s strategy to enhance local engagement, regulatory cooperation, and service quality.
KuCoin CEO BC Wong emphasized the company’s commitment to security and compliance, aiming to deliver deeper liquidity and a transparent relationship with regulators.
The platform will also sponsor the 2025 Australian Crypto Convention to engage the community and highlight its “Integrity First. Trading on KuCoin Next.” campaign.
