Catenaa, Monday, November 03, 2025-Coinbase Global last week reported strong third-quarter results, with transaction revenues reaching $1 billion, a 37% increase from the prior quarter and nearly double year-on-year.
Total trading volumes rose to $295 billion, up from $185 billion a year ago, while overall revenue climbed to $1.9 billion. Net income was $433 million, higher than last year but down quarter-on-quarter.
Ethereum trading accounted for 22% of total volume, up from 15% last quarter, while transaction revenue from ether rose to 17% from 12%.
Bitcoin remained the largest contributor to volume and revenue, though its share declined as Ethereum gained traction. Coinbase also added $299 million in Bitcoin holdings during the quarter.
The firm attributed growth to rising prices in long-tail assets, unique token listings, and efforts to attract advanced traders. Headcount increased 12% quarter-on-quarter. Shares rose 2.5% in after-hours trading following a 5.7% decline in the regular session.
