Blockchain.com Names Co-CEO as US Headquarters Opens in Dallas

Catenaa, Saturday, November 22, 2025-Blockchain.com appointed Lane Kasselman as co-CEO on Monday as the crypto firm opens a new US headquarters in Dallas, Texas, ahead of a planned public offering in 2026.

The promotion elevates Kasselman from his prior roles as chief business officer and president. He will lead business operations, capital markets, and brand strategy, while co-founder and Executive Chairman Peter Smith, based in London, focuses on product development and engineering strategy.

The dual-executive structure is intended to combine technical execution with business oversight and reduce reliance on a single leader or location.

Blockchain.com, founded in 2011 and known for launching the first Bitcoin block explorer, also operates a widely used crypto wallet.

The firm has expanded into digital asset treasury services and investment offerings. Its US headquarters previously moved from New York City to Miami in 2021 before relocating to Dallas for broader operational expansion.

The company is reportedly preparing for a public listing in 2026. Smith highlighted that Kasselman has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s strategy since 2015 and that the dual-leadership model will support the next growth phase efficiently.

The move reflects a broader trend in the crypto sector toward establishing operational hubs in multiple US cities to attract talent and streamline regulatory compliance.
