Catenaa, Sunday, August 09, 2026–BitGo has launched a new platform that allows institutional investors to manage cryptocurrency assets held across multiple exchanges through a single interface, as the digital asset custodian expands its infrastructure for corporate treasury and institutional trading.

The new service, called BitGo Link, connects client accounts held at major cryptocurrency exchanges, including Coinbase, Kraken and Crypto.com, with BitGo’s custody platform.

The platform enables institutions to view assets held across different trading venues in real time while initiating transfers, managing liquidity and rebalancing portfolios without switching between multiple systems.

BitGo said every transfer initiated through Link passes through its Policy Engine, allowing institutions to apply governance rules, approval workflows and permission controls before assets move between exchanges.

The platform also automatically reconciles transfers against exchange records and tracks settlement, providing treasury teams with greater operational oversight.

The launch reflects a broader shift in institutional digital asset management, where firms increasingly require integrated infrastructure rather than separate custody and trading solutions.

As more corporations, asset managers and financial institutions hold digital assets across multiple custodians and exchanges, operational efficiency and governance have become as important as asset security.

BitGo said Link builds on its existing Go Network, which already supports settlement and liquidity services within its qualified custody platform. The company plans to expand the platform by integrating additional exchanges and treasury management capabilities.

Chief Executive Mike Belshe described the platform as a unified command centre for institutional treasury operations, enabling governance policies to follow assets regardless of where they are traded.

Founded in 2013, BitGo has grown into one of the largest cryptocurrency custodians in the United States, reporting more than $100 billion in assets under custody.

The company went public earlier this year after receiving unconditional approval for a U.S. trust bank charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Despite reporting more than 112% year-on-year revenue growth in the first quarter, BitGo also recorded wider net losses following increased investment in its institutional infrastructure.

The launch of Link underscores an accelerating trend across the digital asset industry as infrastructure providers compete to become comprehensive operating platforms for institutional crypto treasury management rather than standalone custodians.
