Binance Bans 600 Accounts Over Unauthorized Tools

Catenaa, Wednesday, October 22, 2025- Binance has banned more than 600 user accounts after detecting the use of what it called “unauthorized third-party tools,” marking one of the exchange’s most extensive enforcement actions this year.

The cryptocurrency giant said the crackdown followed an internal review that uncovered users employing unapproved automation tools, bots, or shared access scripts to gain advantages in trading and Alpha events.

The company stated that affected accounts are permanently disqualified from all Binance activities and will forfeit any Alpha-event earnings.

Binance did not specify which tools triggered the suspensions but cited its Terms of Use, updated October 10, which prohibit automated trading scripts, misuse of APIs, and account-sharing.

The rules apply across all Binance services, including Alpha, its pre-listing token discovery platform integrated with the Binance Wallet.

In its statement on X, Binance urged users to report suspicious activity, offering bounties of up to 50% of recovered profits to verified whistleblowers.

The exchange said the policy is part of a wider push to protect market integrity and user safety.

The move comes amid a busy month for Binance, which recently finalized its acquisition of South Korea’s GOPAX exchange, expanding its reach in Asia. The firm has also rejected allegations that it profits from token listings and dismissed such claims as defamatory.
