Telkomsel wins 3 global telecom awards

Catenaa, Saturday, December 13, 2025- Indonesian operator Telkomsel emerged as a leading winner at the 2025 Global Telecoms Awards in London, taking home three of 24 honors for innovation and digital services.

Telkomsel was recognized for its efforts in connecting remote areas, advancing AI-enabled customer solutions, and deploying IoT initiatives.

The operator received the award for “Connecting the Unconnected” in partnership with Ericsson for extending network coverage to Indonesia’s westernmost islands.

It also won “Delighting the Customer” alongside Huawei for its AI-augmented digital twins, enhancing customer service and operational efficiency.

Telkomsel’s IoT solution, IoT InTANK, was named “IoT Initiative of the Year,” highlighting the company’s focus on smart solutions for enterprise and industrial applications.

Other notable winners included Jio Platforms for 5G innovation, Rakuten Symphony for AI-driven site management, and Netcracker for its agentic AI solution.

Huawei and Netcracker each secured multiple awards, while the roster of winners demonstrated a broad global representation across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

The awards, held at London’s Plaisterers’ Hall, also highlighted achievements in digital transformation, BSS/OSS modernization, climate action, and enterprise solutions.

Projects included AI-powered network management, next-generation backbone deployment, and innovative cloud offerings. Organizers emphasized the ongoing energy and innovation within the telecoms sector despite market challenges.

Telkomsel’s multiple wins reflect its commitment to bridging connectivity gaps, leveraging AI and IoT technologies, and improving customer experiences across Indonesia.

The recognition positions the operator among the global leaders in telecom innovation, alongside a diverse array of international firms demonstrating excellence in technology, operations, and digital infrastructure.
