Patero, Carahsoft Partner to Advance Post-Quantum Cryptography for Public Sector

Catenaa, Friday, December 12, 2025-Patero and Carahsoft Technology Corp. announced a partnership to provide federal and commercial agencies with cryptography inventory, quantum risk assessment, and compliance reporting tools, supporting the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

The collaboration will distribute Patero’s PanoQoR solution through Carahsoft’s government contracting channels, including SEWP V, ITES-SW2, NASPO ValuePoint, and OMNIA Partners.

PanoQoR enables agencies to identify existing encryption, assess exposure to “harvest-now, decrypt-later” attacks, and produce auditable evidence for regulatory compliance.

Quantum computers could compromise current asymmetric encryption used by government and civilian organizations.

US directives such as National Security Memorandum 10 and OMB M-23-02 require agencies to inventory cryptographic systems and submit PQC transition plans, with high-priority migrations due by 2030.

Canadian departments face similar deadlines through 2035.

Patero’s solution helps agencies quantify cryptographic risk, prioritize mitigation, and prepare for hybrid encryption solutions incorporating NIST-standardized quantum-resistant algorithms.

Troy Meraw, Carahsoft Quantum Solutions Program Manager, emphasized that the partnership provides public sector clients with tools to proactively meet PQC mandates.

The effort addresses the urgency posed by campaigns capturing encrypted data for later decryption, ensuring sensitive information remains secure against future quantum threats.

Carahsoft and Patero aim to streamline compliance and accelerate agency readiness for a post-quantum cybersecurity environment.
