Nvidia, Samsung Unveil New AI Megafactory

Nvidia and Samsung launch AI megafactory, advance AI-RAN plans

Catenaa, Thursday, November 06, 2025-Nvidia and Samsung announced a collaboration to deploy more than 50,000 GPUs across Samsung’s manufacturing operations, creating an AI-driven “megafactory” to accelerate semiconductor, mobile device, and robotics production.

The partnership also supports ongoing development of AI-enabled radio access networks, or AI-RAN, aimed at enhancing mobile network capabilities.

The Samsung AI Factory will use AI to analyze data across chip design, production, and equipment operations, extending automation into an intelligent, connected platform.

Nvidia said the initiative is intended to embed AI at multiple stages of manufacturing, while Samsung noted that integrating AI into RAN technology could improve real-time decision-making at the network edge.

The AI-RAN component is designed to support industrial automation, robotics, drones, and other “physical AI” applications, allowing devices to process data and make inferences closer to the point of use.

Executives framed the effort as a step toward more responsive and intelligent mobile networks that could serve as neural networks for AI-powered operations.

The announcement follows Nvidia’s recent $1 billion investment in Nokia to advance GPU integration in mobile infrastructure. Analysts said the moves highlight Nvidia’s strategy to expand influence in telecoms and manufacturing while encouraging adoption of AI across multiple sectors.

Industry observers noted the AI-RAN integration remains at an early stage, with few technical details disclosed. The initiative underscores growing interest in combining cloud, edge, and AI technologies to enhance mobile networks and industrial automation.
