IBM Unveils Crypto Platform for Institutional Use

Catenaa, Thursday, October 30, 2025- IBM has unveiled a new enterprise-grade platform called Digital Asset Haven, aimed at helping institutions, governments, and corporations manage the full lifecycle of digital assets.

Developed in partnership with Coinbase-backed wallet-as-a-service provider Dfns, the platform offers end-to-end tools for custody, transaction processing, and settlement while maintaining regulatory compliance.

IBM said the system allows users to create wallets, manage digital funds, and execute secure transactions across multiple blockchains.

Digital Asset Haven will initially support 40 public and private blockchains and includes programmable multi-party approvals.

The platform also integrates key compliance and security features such as know-your-customer checks, anti-money laundering protections, yield generation, and other blockchain-enabled services.

IBM said the goal is to deliver a unified, enterprise-ready solution that integrates seamlessly into existing digital infrastructure.

The announcement marks IBM’s latest move in blockchain development following its decade-long work with enterprise frameworks like Hyperledger.

Dfns, which raised $16 million in Series A funding last year, has been collaborating with IBM to enhance hardware-backed wallet security through Hyper Protect Virtual Servers. The Paris-based startup previously secured $13.5 million in seed funding in 2022.

Analysts view the partnership as a step toward expanding institutional access to blockchain-based financial systems while strengthening IBM’s position in digital asset infrastructure.
