Algorand Allbridge Unveil Cross-Chain Stablecoin Bridge

Catenaa, Saturday, October 04, 2025- The Algorand Foundation announced a strategic integration with Allbridge, creating a dedicated cross-chain stablecoin bridge to enhance liquidity and interoperability for Algorand users and developers.

The rollout is scheduled for Q4 2025 and aims to strengthen Algorand’s position as a hub for on-chain finance.

Allbridge, part of Circle’s Alliance Program, supports over 20 blockchains and has bridged billions of dollars in assets.

The integration will allow users to transfer stablecoins like USDC directly between Algorand and other major networks. Developers will gain access to a dedicated API, enabling seamless integration of cross-chain stablecoin functionality into dApps and financial products.

Andriy Velykyy, Allbridge CEO, said the integration expands USDC swaps to Algorand, opening the network to broader interoperability and simpler access for users and DeFi participants.

Algorand Foundation’s Chief Business Officer, Min Wei, highlighted that stablecoin accessibility bridges traditional finance and decentralized applications, enhancing payments and real-world asset adoption.

Once live, transferring 1 USDC from Ethereum to Algorand will involve selecting the chains, confirming the transfer, and receiving native USDC on Algorand.

This simplified mechanism provides a direct entry point for stablecoin holders and unlocks new liquidity inflows for the ecosystem.

The partnership lays the groundwork for broader blockchain interoperability, aiming to empower developers, institutions, and users with efficient tools for cross-chain activity.

Documentation, APIs, and integration resources will be available ahead of the launch, with additional community activations planned to support adoption and engagement.

Allbridge and Algorand aim to enhance the user experience, accelerate DeFi growth, and provide seamless pathways for institutional and retail participants to interact with Algorand-based applications and financial services.
