Quantum computing, blockchain, and artificial intelligence are three of the most transformative technologies of our time. Each is powerful on its own, but their true potential emerges at the point of convergence, where they can amplify and complement one another.

This is the vision behind Quranium, a company founded in early 2024 that positions itself as the first “Convergence Layer”. A decentralised, quantum-secure Layer 1 network that unites quantum, blockchain, and AI into a single foundation.

Quranium is built on a simple but profound principle: a resilient digital future requires the combined strengths of security, intelligence, and decentralization. Quantum technology delivers next-generation encryption, AI provides adaptive decision-making, and blockchain ensures transparency and trust. Together, they form not just another infrastructure layer, but the blueprint for a secure, intelligent, and decentralised digital ecosystem.

Why Convergence Matters

Individually, quantum computing, blockchain, and AI each promise to transform the digital landscape. Quantum computers can solve complex problems at unprecedented speeds yet they also pose a threat to traditional encryption. Blockchain technology offers transparent and tamper-proof data exchange, but most blockchains today use cryptography that quantum advances could crack. Meanwhile, AI brings automation and autonomy while needing secure and robust infrastructures to operate safely.

“Supercomputing, Quantum technology, AI, and blockchain are no longer evolving in silos; they are converging. This shift demands a unified, secure infrastructure. Until now, no foundational layer has existed to integrate these technologies seamlessly.”

 Quranium Press release1

Until now, no foundational layer existed to seamlessly integrate quantum tech, AI, and blockchain. In fact, over 99% of current Web3 systems still rely on cryptographic methods vulnerable to future quantum attacks.

“Researchers around the world are racing to build quantum computers that would operate in radically different ways from ordinary computers and could break the current encryption that provides security and privacy for just about everything we do online. … Some experts predict that a device with the capability to break current encryption methods could appear within a decade, threatening the security and privacy of individuals, organizations and entire nations.”

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)2

This leaves a glaring need for a new approach that combines quantum-resistant security, AI-driven automation, and blockchain’s decentralised trust into a single platform. Quranium was created to fill that gap, purpose-built to future-proof the Web3 ecosystem against both today’s challenges and tomorrow’s threats.

The Convergence Layer

Quranium’s answer to these challenges is what it calls “The Convergence Layer”. A Layer-1 blockchain network designed from scratch to unite quantum security, AI capabilities, and blockchain integrity. Key features of Quranium’s platform include:

Quantum Security

It employs NIST-approved post-quantum cryptographic algorithms (e.g. SLH-DSA digital signatures and ML-KEM encryption) to ensure that even next-generation quantum attacks cannot breach its defenses.

AI-Native Design

Quranium integrates AI at the core of the blockchain. On-chain autonomous agents (AI “smart contracts”) can audit, deploy, govern, and even self-evolve contracts without human intervention

EVM Compatibility

Developers can build on Quranium with ease, as it’s fully compatible with Ethereum’s Virtual Machine and tooling. This is very important as any smart contracts that currently run on Etheruem or any EVM chain now has quantum secure infrastructure.

High-Performance Architecture

To support global-scale applications, Quranium uses supercomputing-grade nodes and optimized network protocols for high throughput and low latency.

Decentralized P2P Network

Quranium enhances the standard peer-to-peer blockchain stack with post-quantum protections and advanced relay logic. This means robust resilience against attacks on the network layer and efficient data propagation, all while maintaining true decentralisation (no single point of failure).

Milestones and Momentum

In a short time, Quranium has moved from vision to reality with impressive momentum. The project launched its public testnet in 2025, delivering what it calls an “uncrackable, intelligent, and scalable foundation for the digital era”. On this live network, developers can already deploy smart contracts using QRemix AI (Quranium’s AI-powered contract generation tool), while users secure their assets with the QSafe wallet – a quantum-secure multi-chain crypto wallet supporting 70+ networks – and monitor the chain via QRN Scan, a real-time blockchain explorer. These components showcase how Quranium’s convergence approach works in practice, from AI-assisted app development to quantum-safe asset management.

Adoption of the platform is growing steadily. Since launch, Quranium’s network has processed over 1.5 million transactions, and the QSafe wallet has been downloaded more than 30,000 times. The community around Quranium has swelled to over 200,000 members worldwide, reflecting strong interest in a blockchain built for the quantum age. The venture has also attracted 50+ ecosystem partnerships spanning decentralised finance (DeFi), AI, and infrastructure projects, indicating broad-based support and integration opportunities. Notably, Quranium is backed by major tech investors like Animoca Brands and maintains a strategic partnership with PwC for guidance in enterprise adoption. This backing helped Quranium earn recognition as Best Startup (DMCC 2024) and a top Web3 innovator by Cointelegraph in 2025 positioning it as a leader in next-gen blockchain infrastructure.

Recently Quranium collaborated with global investment platform Republic and opened its project to a wider base of supporters.

“Opening our pre-saleon Republic marks a major milestone in bringing quantum-secure, AI-native blockchaininfrastructure to a global audience… This collaboration allows us to expand our community across Web3 and traditional institutions, united by a decentralized future where trust, security, and scalability are non-negotiable,”

said CEO Kapil Dhiman in a press statement3

Future Outlook

Quranium’s trajectory is currently positioning it for significant expansion beyond its current testnet achievements. The company’s 2025 roadmap centres on a Proof-of-Stake upgrade to its Convergence Layer, a move that would deliver more energy-efficient consensus mechanisms while maintaining the quantum-resistant security that defines the platform.

The technical developments extend into unexpected territories. Quranium is venturing into AI-native gaming environments, where autonomous game worlds and NFTs would leverage the blockchain’s convergent architecture. This push into entertainment applications represents a calculated bet that the intersection of AI and blockchain will find its earliest mainstream adoption in gaming.

Meanwhile, the QSafe wallet continues its expansion across additional networks, bringing quantum-grade security to a broader ecosystem of digital assets. This multi-chain approach reflects a pragmatic understanding that the future of blockchain is likely to be interoperable rather than siloed.

Perhaps most telling is Quranium’s positioning strategy. Rather than competing directly with established chains, the platform is staking its claim on a specific narrative: being the infrastructure of choice for a post-quantum computing world. Co-founder Yaduvendra Yadav frames this as enabling “unprecedented levels of security and efficiency” through hybrid distributed ledger technology that ensures transparent, tamper-proof data management.

Whether Quranium can deliver on these ambitions remains to be seen. The convergence of quantum computing threats and AI capabilities is still emerging, and the timeline for when enterprises and governments will urgently need such infrastructure remains uncertain. Yet by building this foundation now, Quranium is betting that when that moment arrives, they’ll be the established solution in an otherwise unprepared market.
