Catenaa, Monday, December 22, 2025- Soccerverse, a community-driven football management and trading game on Polygon, has secured a license from FIFPRO, the global representative body for professional footballers.
The agreement allows Soccerverse to use the names and images of more than 65,000 professional players from over 70 FIFPRO-affiliated unions worldwide.
The license covers major footballing nations including England, France, Italy, Argentina, Portugal, Belgium, Scotland, Norway, and Sweden. Soccerverse will integrate these officially licensed players into its decentralized game over the coming weeks, enhancing realism and immersion.
Players can manage clubs, trade top-league athletes, and participate in a dynamic, player-driven economy.
The deal strengthens Soccerverse’s commitment to authenticity and trust in blockchain gaming. CEO Andrew Gore highlighted the partnership as a milestone that supports both the community and FIFPRO’s mission, providing a global platform for player representation and exposing talent from underrepresented nations.
FIFPRO Commercial Enterprises praised the collaboration as a forward-looking approach to digital entertainment innovation.
Soccerverse launched in January 2025 and is developed by creators behind Soccer Manager and a team experienced in blockchain gaming since 2013. The game is entering its second season with over 2,000 active managers. The integration of licensed players marks a new chapter in combining traditional football authenticity with decentralized gaming.
