Kintsu Expands to Hyperliquid with sHYPE Launch

Catenaa, Wednesday, October 01, 2025- Kintsu, a liquid staking protocol backed by Castle Island Ventures, Brevan Howard Digital, and others, launched sHYPE on Hyperliquid’s mainnet to address fragmentation in decentralized finance.

The protocol introduces a gamified governance model where delegates stake tokens and campaign for delegations, while validators compete for stake based on performance metrics.

This model links yield directly to validator output, powering a resilient, composable liquid staking token ecosystem.

The launch positions sHYPE to integrate with HyperEVM-based decentralized finance applications and yield strategies.

CoreWriter contracts allow interoperability with Hyperliquid’s native staking layer. Unlike traditional locked staking, sHYPE maintains liquidity while governance oversees validator selection to ensure transparency and align incentives among participants.

Kintsu is also rolling out the Battle Pass Multiplier NFT following over 300,000 Beta Pass participants. Waitlist participants can boost rewards through referrals, staking sHYPE, and engaging with supported integrations.

The NFT provides 1.5x Kintsu Points to accelerate rank progression, reinforcing a community-driven approach where validator performance and user activity influence outcomes.

The launch reflects Kintsu’s mission to unify fragmented DeFi ecosystems, providing composable staking tokens, decentralized validator curation, and governance designed for credible neutrality.

The protocol aims to enhance yield distribution, strengthen ecosystem integration, and promote active community participation in liquid staking.
