Threshold Launches Unified Bitcoin App

Threshold launches Unified Bitcoin App

Catenaa, Tuesday, March 10, 2026-Threshold Network launched its all-in-one Unified Bitcoin App, enabling users to mint, redeem, bridge, swap, and track Bitcoin across major chains from a single interface.

The update integrates tBTC flows with DeFi ecosystems, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Sui, and Starknet, streamlining previously fragmented workflows.

The app consolidates multiple steps that historically required separate tools, optimizing transaction paths for cost, speed, and reliability.

Native BTC swaps leverage deep Ethereum liquidity, and conversions from assets such as WBTC or cbBTC into tBTC are automated within the interface. Staked $T tokens receive fee waivers, and gasless minting remains available as an opt-in feature.

Threshold’s routing engine ensures in-flight transactions are fully resumable, preserving progress if a user disconnects or closes a session.

A new tBTC explorer consolidates mint, redeem, bridge, and swap histories for improved transparency.

The smart route discovery system evaluates paths based on efficiency and user convenience, presenting ranked options for execution.

The update positions Threshold as a core infrastructure provider for cross-chain Bitcoin mobility, reducing friction for DeFi users while enhancing utility and throughput of tBTC. Coordinated execution replaces fragmented workflows, allowing seamless access to decentralized finance with Bitcoin without custodial risk.

Co-Founder MacLane Wilkison emphasized that the app automates liquidity sourcing and settlement behind the interface, enabling more efficient capital deployment across ecosystems.

The launch strengthens staking incentives and embeds routing intelligence directly within the Threshold protocol.
