Riot Platforms Posts Record $647M Revenue Amid AI, HPC Expansion

Catenaa, Sunday, March 08, 2026-  Riot Platforms reported record revenue of $647.4 million for 2025, up from $376.7 million in 2024, as the company expands into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure.

Riot produced 5,686 bitcoin last year, increasing its holdings to over 18,000 BTC. The company said mining revenue climbed to $576.3 million as bitcoin prices surged, even as the average cost per coin rose to $49,645 from $32,216 in 2024.

CEO Jason Les highlighted a strategic pivot toward leveraging Riot’s nearly two-gigawatt power portfolio for high-demand data center operations.

The company signed a lease agreement with semiconductor firm AMD to provide AI and HPC infrastructure, marking the first phase of revenue-generating operations as of January 2026.

Riot’s AI and HPC push aims to position the miner as a major provider of data center capacity for technology firms while diversifying beyond crypto mining.

Activist investor Starboard Value estimated that the company’s AI-focused transformation could boost its valuation to $21 billion.

The 2025 results reflect Riot’s growing focus on high-demand computing services alongside traditional bitcoin production.

The company plans to continue expanding power-intensive infrastructure to serve AI, HPC, and blockchain applications, driving shareholder value and operational scale.
