Polymarket bettors see US funding bill passing in November

Catenaa, Sunday, October 19, 2025-Most Polymarket users predict that Congress will not pass a federal funding bill until November, as the US government shutdown nears its third week.

According to the decentralized prediction market poll, 84% of participants expect a funding bill to pass by November 30, while only 30% believe Congress will act by October 31.

Just 1% predict a deal by October 15, highlighting skepticism over the short timeline.

The shutdown, triggered by lawmakers’ failure to finalize spending bills before the October 1 deadline, has already resulted in thousands of federal employees being temporarily laid off.

Vice President JD Vance warned that further cuts will deepen the longer the shutdown continues, calling some measures “painful.”

During a Cabinet meeting last Thursday, former President Donald Trump vowed to cut funding exclusively for Democratic programs in response to the impasse, saying they would “get a little taste of their own medicine.”

Trump’s involvement in the crypto sector has drawn scrutiny, with critics raising potential ethical concerns should Congress implement broad crypto regulations under his administration.

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) stressed earlier this year that safeguards are needed to prevent “crypto corruption” in the Oval Office.
