Catenaa, Wednesday, December 03, 2025-Filecoin introduced Filecoin Onchain Cloud, a decentralized platform providing verifiable storage, fast retrieval, and fully onchain programmable payments.
The launch, unveiled at DePIN Day Buenos Aires, integrates early partners including ERC-8004, Ethereum Name Service, KYVE, Monad, Safe, Akave, Storacha, and Geo Podcasts.
The platform responds to recent centralized cloud outages that exposed Web3’s dependence on traditional infrastructure.
Filecoin Onchain Cloud allows developers to compose storage, retrieval, and payment logic directly onchain, providing verifiable, resilient infrastructure for decentralized applications, AI systems, and onchain agents.
The ecosystem’s initial developer toolkit, Filecoin Pin, enables persistent IPFS content storage.
Core services at launch include Warm Storage for online data with proofs, Filecoin Pay for automated usage-based payments, and Filecoin Beam for incentivized retrievals, accessible through the Synapse SDK.
Early integrations showcase diverse applications. ERC-8004 and Agent0 leverage Filecoin Pin for tamper-proof agent identity and metadata storage. ENS and Safe form a stack for trustless frontends with verifiable storage.
Monad enables AI deployment with wallet-controlled, self-verifying storage, while KYVE scales blockchain data storage for Celestia and Story Protocol. Akave Cloud and Storacha Forge provide verifiable, S3-compatible storage for AI, IoT, ML, and compliance data.
Geo Podcasts stores knowledge-graph and media data with onchain guarantees.
The Filecoin Onchain Cloud aims to establish a verifiable cloud ecosystem, expanding the network’s programmable capabilities for developers.
The platform is live on Filecoin testnet with a mainnet launch planned for January 2026.
