Coinbase Expands Stock Trading, Partners With Yahoo

Catenaa, Wednesday, March 04, 2026– Coinbase has opened stock trading to all U.S. users and announced a partnership with Yahoo Finance to broaden distribution as the crypto exchange pushes deeper into traditional equities. The rollout expands a limited launch in December that initially offered hundreds of stocks. Thousands of stocks and exchange-traded funds are now available nationwide.

Under the agreement, Yahoo Finance will add a “Trade [asset] on Coinbase” button to stock and crypto pages, directing users to Coinbase’s platform.

The financial terms were not disclosed.

Yahoo Finance reports more than 150 million global monthly visitors.

Users accessing Coinbase through Yahoo will receive a one-month trial of Coinbase One Basic, which includes zero trading fees and USDC rewards.

Coinbase said the new equities service offers commission-free trading 24 hours a day, five days a week, for eligible securities.

More than 8,000 stocks and ETFs are available, with support for fractional shares starting at $1. Trades can be funded with U.S. dollars or USDC.

Earlier this month, the company reported fourth-quarter revenue of $1.8 billion, down 5% from the prior quarter, and a net loss of $667 million.
