Catenaa, Wednesday, February 25, 2026- Blockchain for Good Alliance has released its first flagship impact report, outlining how blockchain technology is being applied to public-sector, social and economic challenges worldwide.
The report, titled “The State of Blockchain for Good: A View from the Alliance,” follows the Blockchain Impact Forum held in Copenhagen last November. Founded by Bybit, BGA said the publication compiles insights from policymakers, United Nations agencies, industry executives and ecosystem builders.
The document examines areas where blockchain solutions are delivering measurable public value, including finance, climate action, digital identity, aid distribution and education. It also identifies barriers slowing broader adoption, such as institutional readiness, governance gaps and funding alignment.
BGA said the sector has reached an inflection point. While many technical frameworks are mature, scaling projects into sustained digital public infrastructure requires stronger coordination between governments, multilateral institutions and private industry.
Helen Liu, founder of BGA and co-CEO of Bybit, said the debate has shifted from feasibility to governance and responsible deployment. Glenn Tan, BGA’s director of global affairs, described the report as a call for cross-sector collaboration and ethical safeguards.
The publication draws on BGA initiatives including hackathons, incubation programs, joint funding efforts and its BGAwards platform. It also outlines recommendations for policy design, blended finance models and interoperability standards over the next 12 to 36 months.
BGA said the report is intended to guide institutions seeking to integrate blockchain into trusted digital infrastructure frameworks.
