Sandbox CEO Details AI, Web3 & Mobile Growth Plans

Catenaa, Monday, October 13, 2025- The Sandbox unveiled its next-phase strategy focused on AI, Web3 infrastructure, and mobile initiatives.

CEO Robby Yung emphasized empowering creators and expanding accessibility across global markets.

Sandbox is a leading gaming and immersive experience platform and is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands.

Since its 2012 mobile game launch, The Sandbox evolved into a 3D multiplayer platform, now supporting over 400,000 creators, 400 brand partnerships, and more than 8 million users.

Yung highlighted AI as key to transforming content creation, with operational applications in coding, cheat detection, and customer support, alongside generative AI tools for asset creation leveraging the platform’s 1.7 million assets.

On Web3 development, The Sandbox introduced SANDchain, a cross-platform layer enabling creators to convert engagement into ownership and rewards.

The platform will also incorporate Internet Capital Market-based token bonding curves to offer dynamic monetization, supplementing traditional creator frameworks.

The SANDchain Testnet is scheduled for October 14, with full platform deployment expected by year-end.

Mobile remains central, with new concepts in internal playtesting and upcoming closed community tests. The $SAND token continues as the ecosystem’s transactional backbone, supporting growing utility and engagement initiatives for holders.

Yung reiterated that Alpha Season 6 is live, with new experiences, brands, and gameplay features enhancing the creator and player ecosystem.

The Sandbox 3.0 vision emphasizes scalable AI-driven creation, robust Web3 infrastructure, and mobile-first accessibility, positioning the platform to strengthen creator economies and mainstream adoption in immersive experiences.
