Sandbox CEO Outlines AI & Web3 Expansion

Catenaa, Friday, October 03, 2025- Sandbox has outlined its future vision under CEO Robby Yung, focusing on AI, Web3 infrastructure, and mobile expansion to empower creators worldwide.

The company highlighted its evolution from a 2D mobile game in 2012 to a 3D multiplayer blockchain-powered platform, supporting over 400,000 creators, 8 million users, and more than 400 brand partners.

Yung emphasized that the convergence of AI and Web3 represents a new technological wave, enabling creators to scale immersive content creation and monetize their work more effectively.

AI initiatives will enhance operational efficiency in areas such as agentic coding, cheat detection, and customer support, while user-facing AI tools will accelerate asset generation.

The Sandbox is training custom AI models and partnering with Rosebud AI to allow creators to leverage custom templates and assets for vibe-coded games.

Web3 infrastructure efforts include the launch of SANDchain, a cross-platform layer enabling creators to bridge engagement into ownership and rewards.

A monetization layer based on Internet Capital Markets (ICMs) will provide dynamic options using token bonding curve mechanics. The SANDchain Testnet is scheduled for October 14, with early access waitlists launching soon.

Mobile remains central to The Sandbox’s strategy, with multiple concepts in development. Internal playtests are underway, with larger closed tests planned for community members.

The $SAND token continues to serve as the ecosystem’s backbone, with the new initiatives increasing its utility and value.

Yung reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting creators and players, centering LiveOps strategy around season-based events, and maintaining ecosystem assets including LANDs and NFT collections.

The Sandbox 3.0 aims to provide the best tools for creation and an enriched ecosystem for its global community.
