Catenaa, February 18, 2026- Google said today it will hold its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2026, on May 19 and May 20 in Mountain View, California, with both in-person and online access for global audiences.
The event will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View and will begin with a keynote on the morning of May 19. The company said it plans to share updates on artificial intelligence and product developments across its portfolio, including Gemini and Android.
Google said the conference will include keynotes from company leaders, technical sessions, product demonstrations and fireside chats. A full session schedule has not yet been released.
Developers can register for the event starting Tuesday. Google also launched an interactive “save the date” experience on its website featuring a series of minigames created with its Gemini AI model.
Last year’s conference focused heavily on artificial intelligence. The company expanded AI Mode in Google Search and introduced Flow, an AI-powered filmmaking application.
This year’s event is expected to continue that direction as Google expands Gemini and rolls out new AI features across Search, Chrome, Workspace applications and Pixel devices.
Google I/O serves as the company’s main platform to announce software updates, developer tools and hardware initiatives. The conference often sets the tone for Google’s product strategy for the rest of the year.
