Catenaa, Thursday, October 09, 2025- S&P Global, in collaboration with tokenized securities provider Dinari, will introduce the S&P Digital Markets 50, the first hybrid index combining cryptocurrencies and crypto-related equities.
The index will include 15 major cryptocurrencies and 35 stocks connected to digital asset operations, blockchain infrastructure, and financial services, providing investors a diversified measure of performance across the broader crypto ecosystem.
Each asset in the index will be capped at 5% and must meet minimum market caps of $300 million for cryptocurrencies and $100 million for equities.
S&P Digital Markets 50 will follow standard quarterly rebalancing and governance rules, though the full constituent list has not yet been released.
The index joins S&P’s existing digital asset benchmarks, including the S&P Cryptocurrency Indices and S&P Digital Market Indices.
Dinari plans to make the index investible via its dShares platform by year-end, allowing tokenized exposure to both US equities and digital assets.
Industry observers note growing demand for hybrid crypto exposure as investors seek both diversification and growth opportunities. Crypto exchanges including Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, and Robinhood are expanding tokenized equities offerings, with Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev describing tokenization as an unstoppable trend set to reshape global finance.
Analysts say the new index could accelerate adoption of tokenized investment products while bridging conventional equity markets with the expanding digital asset space.
